Norms Committee
 
The Norms Committee started functioning in December 2006 comprising of members of senior executives from various sections of the voluntary sector, consultants and Credibility Alliance staff. All members are well-established with many years of professional experience and in-depth knowledge of governance in the voluntary sector. The committee helds meetings every 2-3 months.
 
The Norms Committee has been constituted to -
 
  • Review and revisit Credibility norms and with focus on developing norms for programme evaluation/performance appraisal
  • Suggest suitable amendments and elaborations to make Norms more appropriate and germane to current requirements
  • To develop criteria for programme evaluation for sectors
  • Contextualises the criteria for programme generic evaluation to different sector in the field of development sector
  • To develop the scope and framework for application of the criteria
  • To specify the nature of trained personnel to undertake the assessment
