Views….
What I liked most was the fact that there was an intense discussion on issues concerning NGO sector and also on Credibility Alliance and how to make the Alliance strong and effective.
I felt that the AGM was admirably chaired and I personally believe that the objective for which the Credibility Alliance has been setup would help greatly in bringing about improvement in the governance of NGOs and assist in strengthening partnership between NGO's and Corporate sector.

Participating in General Assembly at New Delhi, and being the first representative member of the state of Himachal Pradesh we found Shastra society honored. It is proud to be associated with the Credibility Alliance.

This will further entail to better governance and greater level of transparency in professional life. The system of open discussion and inviting comments from everyone present in the House for the amendments of rules and regulations is an extreme manifestation of transparency and was truly up to the spirit of the Credibility Alliance.

Towards A More Responsible and Responsive Voluntary Sector....
Promoting public disclosure and good governance

The Credibility Alliance has gone a long way since it was founded in November 2003. Much water has flown and attending the Second Annual General Meeting with active members was a pleasure to see the interest generated in the sector.

We hope that in the years to come accountability in the sector will become a movement and it will help us to do more for the people we work with in different parts of the country. We hope that the entire sector will adopt the norms of the Credibility Alliance in future.

Credibility Alliance is a registered organization under Societies Registration Act (XXI) of 1860.  As an independent, voluntary (not for profit) organization, we aim at building trust among the stakeholders of an organization such as staff, the Board, donors, volunteers, the general public and the media. We do this by advocating norms for public disclosure and good governance that will help organizations become more transparent and accountable to their stakeholders. The draft of our norms was published in 2003 in English and later translated into six other languages – Hindi, Marathi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. More than 15000 copies of this booklet have been distributed.
