Dear Members
Credibility Alliance has successfully completed another year i.e. Year 2006. This year we experienced few major changes within the Alliance. We shifted our head office from Delhi to Mumbai and Ms. Kriti Vasundharaa joined the Alliance as its new Executive Director. We are very much thankful to our earlier executive director Mr. Ranjan Rao Yerdoor for his valuable contribution. However, despite of the changes we are grateful to Mr. B. N. Makhija, Chairperson of credibility Alliance for his devotion of time in the activities of Alliance and for promoting the Norms of Good Governance in India and also internationally through his visit to Bangkok in July’2006.
In this issue we would like to cover our performance in the Year 2006 with our activity details and most importantly I would like to share with you our West Bengal State Committee’s promotion of Enrichment series in the direction of capacity building exercise.
Enrichment series “organized by West Bengal State Committee
West Bengal state committee of Credibility Alliance decided to organize a series of workshops/seminars that would help VOs/NGOs to improve their standards of Accounting and reporting system and capacitate them to comply with Credibility Alliance norms.
The first seminar was organized by Credibility Alliance West Bengal state committee and PricewaterhouseCoopers Pvt Ltd on August 26, 2006 on “Global Reporting Initiatives” , an accounting system Corporates are promoting within the sector. Chief functionaries and chief accountants of 26 voluntary organizations attended the seminar along with donor agencies like Lutheran World Service, Compassion India, Action Aid and also Tata Consultancy Services TCS from corporate sector.
